Wi-Fi Einstellungen im Firmen WLAN beachten
You will need a smartphone that supports Wi-Fi Calling (Apple, Samsung, Huawei and most current models from other manufacturers). You also need a working Wi-Fi connection along with a good Internet connection, and Wi-Fi Calling via the (company) Wi-Fi must be explicitly approved.
If you are responsible for managing the settings of your (company) Wi-Fi, please note the following: Your (company) Wi-Fi must explicitly allow Wi-Fi Calling. The incoming and outgoing UDP ports 4500 and 500 in your firewall must be open to allow IPSec data to pass through. An Internet connection with the same public IP address is necessary if you use NAT with your firewall. If you use several Wi-Fi base stations, they must all have the same SSID and password to allow the transfer of a call. Also, the base stations must be on the same IP subnet and use the same IP standard gateway. When using several base stations, their coverage must overlap by at least 15–20%.
No, you do not need to download an app and you do not require specific infrastructure.
No, the Internet connection can also be from a different provider. For optimal voice transmission quality, we recommend Sunrise Internet products. We cannot guarantee interference-free connections using Internet products from other providers. For technical reasons, Sunrise is only able to answer support queries relating to our own Internet products. Please contact your provider regarding any problems concerning the Internet connection if you would like to use Wi-Fi Calling on a Wi-Fi network that is not provided by Sunrise.
You will need to activate Wi-Fi Calling directly on your smartphone. If you have a smartphone that supports Wi-Fi Calling, you will generally find the function that needs to be activated in your smartphone settings (can vary slightly depending on the smartphone you have). Once you have activated the necessary function, connect to the on-site Wi-Fi network.
Wi-Fi Calling will be available to you automatically after activation. If the mobile phone signal is not strong enough and you have a good connection to a Wi-Fi network, your smartphone will automatically connect to it and your calls will be routed via Wi-Fi.
Turning on the function can decrease battery life slightly.
There is no basic monthly fee for using Wi-Fi Calling and there should be no additional costs incurred. The rates for calls and SMS/MMS via Wi-Fi Calling are the same as your existing Sunrise Business mobile subscription rates for equivalent connections made via the Sunrise mobile network. Wi-Fi Calling connections are not specifically labeled or identified on your monthly bill.
In principle, Wi-Fi Calling is also available abroad with the current Business mobile subscriptions from Sunrise, as long as applicable included call units are available for the Business mobile subscription in the respective country. If the subscription does not have included call units, Wi-Fi Calling will be billed like domestic calls.
Unfortunately, uninterrupted switching from Wi-Fi Calling to a mobile signal cell and vice versa is currently not always possible.
Example: If you leave the Wi-Fi zone during a phone call, you may lose Wi-Fi coverage and the call will be interrupted. Uninterrupted switching can only be guaranteed if you have an LTE signal.
It is very secure! It adheres to the latest standards and is constantly updated to take advantage of the latest technology and expertise. Wi-Fi Calling uses the same coding as phone calls made via mobile networks: the data is transmitted from the phone to the provider using IPSec (certified end-to-end encryption), thereby meeting standard security requirements. Data security is also guaranteed when using Wi-Fi Calling via publicly accessible hotspots.
