Calexico has spent the better part of the last three decades exploring the dusty musical frontiers of the American Southwest. In the process, they have created unique, cinematic songs that are as mysterious and grand as the arid desert landscapes that inspired them. For their upcoming European tour, Calexico will perform with a reduced band, small and very refined. Performing as an intimate trio, founding members Joey Burns and John Convertino will be joined by their longtime collaborator and trumpeter Martin Wenk to give us a rare, up-close experience of the band's iconic, Southwestern-inspired sound on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Volkshaus Zurich - no joke!
