Fans of hard sounds take note: After the sold-out show in 2023, the successful German band Eisbrecher will return to X-TRA Zurich on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 with a new album and special guest Heldmaschine.
Eisbrecher were founded in 2003 by Alexander "Alexx" Wesselsky and Jochen "Noel Pix" Seibert. Both musicians had previously played in the band Megaherz before starting a new project. With Eisbrecher, they wanted to break new musical ground and combine their love of electronic music with hard rock and metal elements. Their debut album Eisbrecher was released in 2004 and received positive reviews, with the single Mein Blut being particularly praised. The band's breakthrough came with their second album Antikörper in 2006, which entered the German album charts and made the band known to a wider audience. Songs such as Vergissmeinnicht and Leider became hits and established Eisbrecher as a force to be reckoned with in the German rock and metal scene. Now, 22 years after the band was founded, we can expect not only Eisbrecher's biggest tour to date with Kaltfront, but also a brand new album!
The industrial metal rockers Heldmaschine have already released their sixth album, Flächenbrand, and will accompany Eisbrecher on their tour as special guests. The current hit single Karl Denke and the accompanying video mark the acting debut of singer René Anlauff in a historically inspired true crime thriller on Amazon Prime. Heldmaschine already toured successfully with OOMPH! through the EU's neighboring countries in 2019.
