Sunrise is proud to be celebrating Pride month and the LGBTQIA+ community.
Sunrise places great value on creating an inclusive working environment in which everybody feels like they belong and are valued – whatever their sexual orientation or gender identity, and however they express it. Everybody deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, which is why Sunrise embraces these values in all its interactions with its customers, suppliers, partners and employees.

Under the motto PROUDLY CONNECTING. EVERYBODY, EVERYWHERE, Sunrise conducts open and connected discussions – because the better the level of mutual understanding, the easier it is to respect differences. Continuous dialogue allows LGBTQIA+ topics to be explored in greater depth and the concerns in the community to be better understood.
EMBRACING DIVERSITY AND INCLUSIVITY FOR EMPLOYEES AND CUSTOMERS
At Sunrise, a diverse workforce and diverse customers are integral to its success. In 2021, it developed YouBelong!, which combines the framework conditions for diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I), and in 2023, Sunrise was awarded the Swiss LGBTI label*. With DE&I as part of its DNA, Sunrise works continuously to create an inclusive environment, in which customers and employees feel valued, understood and respected. A better level of understanding and empathy among colleagues is strengthened by encouraging people to exchange their own personal stories and experiences. In addition, employees receive training on diversity and inclusion. Sunrise strives to create a culture in which everybody is treated with dignity and friendliness and can flourish and contribute their unique talents and perspectives.

Positive messages, intentions and attitudes don’t go far without action. Here are a few easy actions you can already take today to support the LGBTQI+ community in Switzerland.
Network
Talk to people from the LGBTQIA+ community, whether it’s a friend, acquaintance or colleague. Find out more about their life story, their challenges and how you can support them. Be open and brave in the conversation and don’t be afraid to ask questions. It’s completely fine not to know everything and to show your interest.
Show support
Support members of the LGBTQIA+ community by standing up for them if you see any discrimination or harassment against LGBTQIA+ people.
Get involved
Show solidarity and take part in Pride events in your area and invite friends and family.
Read, watch, listen
Learn more about the LGBTQIA+ community by reading articles and books or watching documentaries to better understand the history, challenges and successes of this community.
Your voice counts
Let others hear your opinion and help create an inclusive and respectful environment.
