Activation & relocation

Yes, you can schedule the activation up to six months after the purchase.

If you don’t change your subscription type, you'll keep your discount when you move house.

To change your Internet subscription, follow these steps:


  1. Check your current contract obligations with your provider. If you have passed the minimum contract period, you can proceed with cancellation to start the notice period. Otherwise, weigh the benefits carefully, and consider any early termination costs. 

  2. Request activation of the new subscription on the same date your previous contract ends to avoid double billing. 

  3. Wait for Sunrise to contact you to finalize the switch, complete the installation of the new internet modem and only then return the old modem. 

  4. Complete the switch by setting up the TV box if applicable and connecting your devices to the new home network.

Internet & fiber optic connection

No, if the fiber-optic connection is not installed at the customer’s special request, there is no charge for a normal installation.  

No, there’s no need. All you have to do is give us the OTO ID of your fiber-optic cable outlet. You can find more information here.

Yes, you can. 

Maximum bandwidth for up- and downloads. Available speeds depend on your local fibre-optic network. For matching bandwidths for up- and downloads, a fibre-optic connection to the home is required. There will be no increase in bandwidth in Chiasso and Liestal.

TV subscriptions, TV box & TV app

Replay commercials will now be shown on most time-shifted TV channels. You can only skip them if you purchase the Skip Ads option. You can find more information here.

Yes, it is. However, we recommend a cable connection, as it’s more stable.

Yes, you can order up to five Sunrise TV Boxes. Each additional box costs CHF 10.– per month and can be ordered by calling 0800 707 504 or directly via My Sunrise. To find out more, please refer to our TV Box support page.

Yes, with the Sunrise TV App, you can also watch TV on your smartphone, tablet and computer. You can find more information here.
