First bill after switching your Sunrise subscription
If you switch your subscription, you will continue to pay the price of your previous subscription until the end of the current month. The price of your new subscription will not be billed until the following month.
Important
If you switch to a more expensive subscription (including any discounts), you’ll be able to use your new subscription with all its included services right after switching your subscription instead of having to wait until the next month. This means that you benefit from the new subscription immediately, even though you’re still paying the price of the old subscription until the end of the month.
If you switch to a subscription with a lower price (including any discounts), you won’t be able to use your new subscription immediately, but only as of the following month. This means that the services of your current subscription will still be available to you until the end of the month.
Exceptions
In some cases, you may be billed pro rata. This means that you will immediately pay the new price as of the date of the subscription switch. The bill will be invoiced pro rata the following month. This is the case, for example, if you receive new hardware (Internet modem, TV box) when you switch to a different subscription and/or your connection type changes (DSL, fiber optics, etc.).
Example:
You switch your subscription on May 23, 2022. You have already paid the subscription fees for May with your bill from the previous month, since these costs are always billed in advance.
Starting on May 24, all the services of the new subscription will be available to you, and you will also pay the price for the new subscription from that date. The fee for your old subscription will be refunded pro rata on your next bill, i.e., from May 24 until the end of the month.
