Checking and optimising the WiFi

Test and improve your home network easily with a scan of your home. Use the Home Scan feature of the Connect App to optimise your WiFi and ensure a stable connection.

1. Checking the WiFi with Home Scan

You can use the Connect app to test the speed of your modem and WiFi.

  1. To perform a home scan, make sure you’re connected to your home WiFi.

  2. Navigate down and press the «For you» button. Click on «Start Home Scan» to perform the home scan.

  3. Follow the instructions on the screen and check the results.

If the connection is poor, the app will suggest several improvements, including ordering a Connect Pod/WiFi Extender. The app links you directly to the My Sunrise order page.

Once you’ve completed the WiFi test, you can also check whether your modem has a good connection to our network. Follow the steps on the screen. If you want to run a modem test without testing the WiFi first, go to the device screen, click the Connect Box icon, and then click «Test modem speed».

2. Optimising the WiFi via Smart WiFi
  1. If a Connect Pod/WiFi Extender is recommended, you’ll be notified following a home scan.

  2. You don’t need to configure the Connect Pods/WiFi Extenders via the app. They can simply be plugged in and will connect to the existing WiFi network automatically (plug and play).

Go to the device screen and tap on a Connect Pod/WiFi Extender to view its connection status.

If you’ve already connected a Connect Pod/WiFi Extender and it’s not visible, please start the manual configuration via the Connect app: Click on «Devices»>«Network»>«Plus icon»/«Install device»>«Start installation». Please follow the instructions on the screen.
