Use your mobile phone as a substitute modem
In the event of a service outage or faulty fiber or DSL cable, you can use your mobile phone as a substitute modem.
Attention
Your modem must be connected to the power supply and be in working condition.
Please check whether the Power LED on your Sunrise Internet Box is lit up.
Connect your mobile phone (smartphone) to your Sunrise Internet Box via a USB cable (e.g., the charging cable).
A pop-up window will now open on your mobile phone.
Please confirm that you trust the computer or device (in this case your modem).
Select Settings -> Mobile Network -> Personal Hotspot.
Activate the slider next to «Allow Others To Join».
Select Settings -> Connections -> Mobile Hotspot and Tethering.
Activate the slider next to the USB tethering option.
Select Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> Tethering and mobile hotspot.
Activate the slider next to the USB tethering option.
