Landline call settings
Want to know how to set up call settings? Here you will find everything you need to know about call settings for your landline.
Call waiting
If your line is busy, a third person can still call you and let you know that they’re waiting (call-waiting). You'll be informed by means of an audible tone. You can then choose between the following options:
End the existing call and accept the waiting call.
Temporarily put the current call «on hold» in order to accept the waiting call.
Ignore the waiting call.
Activating call waiting
1. Pick up the receiver.
2. Enter *43#.
3. Wait for the activation confirmation and hang up.
You can deactivate this option by entering #43#.
Accepting the waiting call and putting the ongoing call on hold
1. Press the • or R button (depending on the phone model).
2. Wait for the dial tone and press 2.
Repeat steps 1 and 2 to switch back and forth between calls.
Accepting the waiting call and ending the current call
1. Press the • or R button (depending on the phone model).
2. Wait for the dial tone and press 1.
You can also end the current call by hanging up.
In this case, your phone will ring to signal that the call is waiting. To accept the call, you can simply pick up the receiver when you hear the ring tone.
Important
The call-waiting feature is only fully functional when the call-forwarding option «when busy» is deactivated. If the call-forwarding option is activated, the number of the waiting call will not be shown.
Switching back and forth between two calls (hold/toggle)
You can put an ongoing call on hold in order to talk to another person on the same line or to answer a waiting call.
Putting a call on hold and calling a new number

2. Wait for the dial tone and press 2.
3. Dial the number to make the new call (within 20 seconds).
Repeat steps 1 and 2 to switch back and forth between calls.
Ending a call on hold
1. Press the • or R button (depending on the phone model).

When you hear the ring tone, you can accept the other call by picking up the receiver.
Please note:
Do you have a Sunrise landline now, but you used to have a UPC landline? In this case, all your previous call settings are no longer active and may need to be reconfigured.
Suppressing a phone number
If you want to suppress your phone number, which means that it won’t be visible to the destination number, please proceed as follows:
1. Pick up the receiver.
2. Dial *31*destination number#.
