The Swiss skiing association Swiss-Ski manages eleven different winter sports and Sunrise has been its proud main sponsor since May 2022. This opens up countless new possibilities for us and our customers. Discounted tickets are available for most World Cup events in Switzerland. But that’s not all. Sunrise is giving you access to spectacular VIP areas and organizing unique opportunities, such as meeting the athletes, behind-the-scenes tours and piste tours. If you’re a winter sports fan, you should bookmark Sunrise Moments right now – it’s the place where you’ll find all our current offers and competitions.
The junior stars are excited
There are plenty of reasons to look forward to the ski season. But what are the winter sports stars of tomorrow looking forward to the most? We asked the young athletes whom we’re sponsoring individually:
Margaux Dumont (20), ski cross: I’m especially excited about the Junior World Cup. It’s always an extremely cool event and it’s the only one holding a team competition this winter. This is the last time I’ll be able to participate – so it’s my last chance to become the Junior World Champion! The best I’ve managed so far is fourth place at a Junior World Cup.
Flurina Baetschi (19), alpine snowboarding: I can’t decide whether it’s the Junior World Cup or my home race in Davos that I’m looking forward to the most. At the 2021 and 2022 World Junior Championships, I took third place, which is my biggest success so far. Maybe I can get even higher up the podium this year. And in Davos, I can look forward to seeing my family and friends in the crowd.
Nadia Steiger (18), cross-country skiing: This season, I’m most excited about the new distances we’ll be skiing and the team sprint competition that puts us into teams of two, each taking turns skiing the course three times, with the fastest qualifying directly for the final.
Thierry Wili (22), freeskiing: I’m actually looking forward to the whole season, but I’m really excited about the snowboarding in spring! That’s when the snow is nice and soft in the snow parks and the sun’s out for longer.
