A cold, stormy March evening in Zurich. Throngs of people are pushing to get to the Hallenstadion entrances. This evening, I’m very lucky: I don’t need to wait in line, but can instead walk the red carpet and up the stairs up to the Sunrise starzone Lounge.
A friendly hostess welcomes me inside, gives me a starzone wristband and takes my jacket to the cloakroom, free of charge. I grab the welcome drink on offer at the bar – a delicious gin cocktail created by world cocktail champion Andy Walch. I then find my friends sitting in a quiet corner where they’ve already made themselves comfortable on the Lounge sofas. The Sunrise starzone Lounge usually opens its doors two hours before the start of a concert so guests have plenty of time to chill out and enjoy themselves in a relaxed atmosphere.
Everyone’s looking forward to the George Ezra gig with Passenger as the opening act. While we chat away and enjoy some snacks, we charge our mobile phones – there are plenty of fast chargers at every table. We’ll soon be fully charged up to film and take photos during the concerts.
Optimized network coverage in the Hallenstadion
As part of its partnership with the Hallenstadion, Sunrise is investing heavily in improving its network coverage in the largest concert hall in Switzerland.
From May 1, 2023, the whole of the Hallenstadion will be covered by a 5G network. This means that Sunrise customers attending a concert will then be able to share their live experiences instantly.
We return to the Lounge to chill out in the interval between the opening act and the main gig – the seats here are just more comfortable than in the hall and there’s still plenty to drink at the bar.
By the way, the Hallenstadion isn’t the only venue with a permanent Sunrise starzone Lounge. You can also enjoy a great time in the Lounge at «THE HALL» in Dübendorf, the Arena in Geneva and the St. Jakobshalle in Basel. I won’t forget Basel any time soon because you get a great view of the stage straight from the Sunrise starzone Lounge.
