The video game industry has been paying attention as well, which is why they’ve released so many fun games that are designed to be played together. Of course, it’s often not about violence or shooting, but collaborative work and lots of entertainment – and sometimes even a beautiful story.

So why not give Netflix and movies a break of one night and rather get the old game console out? We’ve got some game tips for you that are sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Overcooked – cook up some chaos together

You think you’ve got the kind of love that’ll get you through thick and thin together and can take any stress? Then why not test your theory with a round of «Overcooked!»?

This cute game takes you to a crazy restaurant kitchen where you have to prepare different dishes together. The game involves various work processes, like chopping tomatoes, frying meat or preparing a salad, so that guests can get a tasty burger, for example.

The idea of the game might be quite simple, but the flow of the game is sure to draw you in right away. Of course, it’s all about teamwork here, because if you leave a pan on the stove for too long, it catches fire, or your guests may become restless waiting. But since you and your darling are so perfectly paired, this multiplayer experience certainly won’t be a challenge for the two of you. Or will it? After all, you’ve already mastered a Valentine’s Day dinner together.

«Overcooked» is available for 1–4 players on all current consoles and PCs.

It Takes Two – on good and bad days

«It Takes Two» is a very special game. It’s designed to be played by two players. Even better, by a couple. It’s best, though, if you’ve been together for a long time and know each other inside and out. And it’ll be great to play on Valentine’s Day.

The story is about Cody and Mary, a married couple who are actually planning to get divorced – not very romantic yet but give it a moment. Their daughter Rose, understandably, doesn’t take the news very well and tries to distract herself with dolls that look like her parents. Thanks to a bit of magic, her parents are transformed into the homemade dolls and find themselves in a crazy world. Suddenly, there’s also a talking «book of love» that gives them the task of repairing their relationship.

As a gamer, you’ll then slip into the role of the parents in this game and play your way through the various adventures and puzzles that you can only solve together. This truly creative and heartwarming game introduces the idea that relationships can still be romantic after a long time together and that love can be found in the smallest details. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, «It Takes Two» will remind people what they really love about their partner. If this game doesn’t soften your heart, there’s just no hope for you.

«It Takes Two» is designed for 2 players on all current consoles and PCs.

Moving Out – moving for beginners

Are you dreaming about your first apartment together? Or perhaps you’re on the next step already – dreaming about your own home? Then you’ve got all that moving fun ahead of you.

Take a crack at playing «Moving Out» so you can already practice moving in together. Similar to «Overcooked», but things can get chaotic quite quickly. In this multiplayer game, the goal is to work with your partner and clean up an apartment as quickly as possible. There are no rules here – when the time’s up, everything just has to be out of the apartment. After all, you pay the moving company by the hour.

Of course, there are items that have to be moved together, like a sofa or fridge.

«Moving Out» is a quick game that’s most enjoyable together. Things get even wilder when you play it with another couple. Then all hell breaks loose.

«Moving Out» is available for 1–4 players on all current consoles and PCs.

Gaming hasn’t been a thing for loners for a long time now... in some cases, it’s perfectly designed for couples, without violence, just pure enjoyment instead. You need to be a team if you want to get through life as a couple.

A round of this game will help you find out pretty quickly whether you’re a good match or not. Perhaps your gaming Valentine’s Day will become romantic – without you even planning it. You don’t always have to end Valentine’s Day with a movie.
