Lion action in «Mufasa: The Lion King» – now available in the VoD store
Simba only has one goal: to be a leader who’s just as righteous as his late father, Mufasa. The Lion King and Nala now have a daughter named Kiara, who learns the history of her family from the wise monkey Rafiki. Meerkat Timon and warthog Pumbaa also come along for the ride. «Moonlight» director Barry Jenkins directed this adventure-packed family drama making sure to include lots of references to the original. The photorealistic animation is even better than it was in 2019 and only enhances the great overall impression.

Russian immigrant Sergei Kravinoff (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) was attacked by a lion at a young age while on a hunting trip in Africa. He only survived thanks to a mysterious potion that made him strong, fast and gave him superhuman senses. He was abandoned by his strict father (Russell Crowe). But when he's an adult, he returns – with a vengeance. Despite the middle section being cut a little short, the film as a whole is still an exciting adventure from the «Spider-Man» universe.
Nail-biting thriller chronicling the papal election in «Conclave» – available in the VoD store from 6 March
The Pope has passed away and the Vatican is in mourning. Nevertheless, the cardinals must gather to elect one of them as the new pontiff. Caught in the middle of this election process is Ralph Fiennes in the role of the sceptical Cardinal Thomas Lawrence, who soon finds himself dealing with a conspiracy. Edward Berger’s film adaptation of Robert Harris’ novel impresses with a top-tier cast, skilful build-ups of suspense and a final punchline that speaks to the world we live in today. Don’t miss it!

When a black hedgehog named Shadow causes a number of earthquakes, it’s up to Sonic and his friends Tails and Knuckles to save the world. This is why they have to leave their adoptive parents’ (James Marsden/Tika Sumpter) cosy home and even reach out to their long-time nemesis Dr Robotnik (Jim Carrey). Following the sensational success of the first two films, it was only a matter of time before a third part was released. And after the credits roll, there’s even a hint of a fourth part to come. Game-boys and -girls get ready!
Julianne Moore in «The Room Next Door» – available in the VoD store from 27 March
Pedro Almodóvar’s English-language feature film and directorial debut won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival: Ingrid (Julianne Moore) and Martha (Tilda Swinton) were once best friends. Then they went their separate ways, only to reunite many years later in unexpected circumstances, to talk about life and death. Pedro Almodóvar gives free rein to his talented leading actresses and brings a burning issue to light in this drama, namely the much-debated topic of assisted suicide. Poignant!
