The secret has been revealed – the design of the new Descente alpine ski racing suit for Swiss-Ski athletes is no longer under wraps. Following its 51 World Cup podium places and nine Olympic medals last winter, the Swiss alpine team is set to enter the upcoming competition season with new colors and a new racing suit called «Levada». In the 2022/23 season, Swiss ski stars will be hitting the slopes with a fresh look and will once again be fighting for every last millisecond.

The «Levada»

The new racing suit has been given a Rhaeto-Romanic name meaning «Sunrise» or «Rise again». The message of «rising again» is perfectly in keeping with the brand promise of the new Swiss-Ski main partner Sunrise: «Dream Big. Do Big.». Inspiring people to dream big and also do big things. It’s a motto and a name that should also give Swiss-Ski athletes an additional motivational boost when they put on their racing suit.

The final design was preceded by a long process with the supplier Descente as well as the involvement of many other stakeholders. The racing suit is a key element for athletes on the road to success and every detail counts. It took time and effort to get from the first sketch to the initial design, then to the testing phase and ultimately to the final product – «Levada». This «journey of development» was captured by MySports in cooperation with Filmgerberei and is presented in a video series.
