  • The option can be activated on the date of your choice within 12 months of registration. The option will be automatically activated when you start using roaming data for the first time.

    Activation always occurs according to the Swiss time zone. Pay attention to time differences.

  • Activation, deactivation, and duration of use are always executed based on the Swiss time zone. Pay attention to time differences.
  • The duration of 12 months starts when the option is activated. The duration is determined by the number of calendar days in the activation month and ends at the same time of day that it was activated.
  • The option ends automatically and is not renewed.
  • If you use up all of your included data volume before the duration of use is over, the data used from then until the end of the duration of use will be billed at the standard roaming rate.

    Further data usage after the option ends can be blocked in cockpit.sunrise.ch in order to control costs.

  • If the data volume is used up before the duration period runs out, a new option can be purchased. If a new option is purchased when the data volume of the previous option has not yet been used up, the data volume of the first option will expire.

Travel days Accordion

  • Sunrise We Mobile, Fresh Mobile  and older mobile subscriptions.
  • The activation date can be set for a certain date within a maximum of 3 months after purchase (e.g. the date the trip starts).  

    The option expires if it is not activated within 3 months.

  • Activation, deactivation, and duration of use are always executed based on the Swiss time zone. Pay attention to time differences.

    For example: If you are traveling in New York, the option will end at 6:00 p.m. local time on the last day because it will already be midnight in Switzerland at that time.

  • The activation date can be set for a certain date within a maximum of 3 months after purchase (e.g. the date the trip starts).  

    The option expires if it is not activated within 3 months.

  • No automatic renewal
  • If you use up all of your included data volume before the duration of use is over, the data used from then until the end of the duration of use will be billed at the standard roaming rate. See roaming price list.


    Further data usage after the option ends can be blocked in cockpit.sunrise.ch in order to control costs.

Mobile Postpaid Option Sunrise speed

  • Sunrise Mobile subscriptions.
  • Speed upgrade for mobile Internet.

    Keep surfing with 5G high-speed Internet after the limited monthly data volume of your Sunrise Mobile subscription has been used up.

    If the Sunrise speed option has not been activated, the speed will be reduced to 256 kbit/s (upload and download).
  • The option is activated for Sunrise Mobile subscriptions by default.
  • Sunrise speed can be activated or re-activated at any time.

    • Activate the speed booster in My Sunrise under "Settings".
    • Send an SMS with the text "SPEED" to 5522.
    • Visit a Sunrise center or call our call center: 0800 707 505
  • Billing starts on the day after the monthly included high-speed data volume is used up.
  • Sunrise peed can be permanently deactivated. Once the high-speed 5G data volume has been used up, you can continue surfing in each subsequent month free of charge, unlimited, but at a reduced speed of 256 kbit/s (upload and download). 

    Deactivation methods: 

    • Answer the SMS informing you that your high-speed data volume will soon be used up with an SMS containing the text "SPEED STOP"
    • Deactivation in My Sunrise under "Settings". You can also undo the permanent deactivation here at any time.

Mobile Postpaid Option call protect

  • Sunrise We Mobile, Fresh Mobile and other older subscriptions. (not for prepaid).
  • Call misuse (calling, data connections) following theft or robbery is covered. Theft is defined as the seizure of the insured hardware, including bag theft and break-in theft, with the intention to unlawfully assign ownership to oneself or a third party.
  • Costs charged by a telecommunications provider for payment of call and data connection costs are considered to be damages.
  • Uninsured events include
    (a) unnoticed theft from property without evidence of forced entry or exit
    (b) theft from a vehicle when there is no evidence of forced entry and the insured hardware was not reasonably hidden, or
    (c) theft when the insured hardware is left somewhere unattended so that it is readily accessible to the public
    (d) when the hardware is entrusted to someone other than the person eligible for benefit and is then misused by this person.
  • The phone number listed in the insurance policy is the insured number.
  • The owner of the phone number recorded in the insurance policy is eligible for benefits. If the owner changes, the insurance is automatically transferred to the new owner.
  • Report any damages directly to the insurer at the number: +41 43 210 27 45 or online at www.chubbprotect.ch/claimreport .
  • Damages due to theft or robbery must be reported to the responsible police station no later than within 72 hours of the occurrence or discovery of the event. The insurer can demand a copy of the report.

    The insurer's obligation to provide services will become invalid if the theft of the corresponding mobile phone or tablet is not reported to Sunrise Communications AG within 72 hours, the corresponding SIM card concerned is not blocked, and/or the theft is not reported to the responsible police station.

  • Day of registration. When a number is ported, insurance coverage always starts with activation/completion of porting.
  • The option is activated starting the day after registration.
  • 1 month. The duration is determined based on the number of calendar days in the month of activation.
  • At the end of each month, the option is automatically renewed at midnight (CET).
  • The option can be cancelled at the end of any duration period. The option can be used until midnight on the last day of the duration period.

    The option is automatically cancelled if the subscription the option is based on is cancelled.

  • The fee for the option is invoiced at activation. The option fee is automatically invoiced on a monthly basis until the option is cancelled. If you cancel during a billing period, the basic charge for the entire month will apply.

Mobile Postpaid Option international

  • Sunrise We Mobile, Fresh Mobile and other older subscriptions. (not for prepaid).
  • By the minute. Every partially used minute will be charged as a full minute.
  • Excluding calls made to a foreign country from a foreign country (roaming). The option is only valid for calls made to a foreign country from Switzerland.
  • The option is activated starting the day after registration.
  • 1 month. The duration is determined based on the number of calendar days in the month of activation.
  • At the end of each month, the option is automatically renewed at midnight (CET).
  • The option can be cancelled at the end of any duration period. The option can be used until midnight on the last day of the duration period.

    The option is automatically cancelled if the subscription the option is based on is cancelled.

  • The fee for the option is invoiced at activation. The option fee is automatically invoiced on a monthly basis until the option is cancelled. If you cancel during a billing period, the basic charge for the entire month will apply.

Mobile Postpaid Option mobile ID

  • In order to use this service all you need is a Smart SIM card and a mobile subscription (not available with Sunrise Prepaid).
  • Activate the option Mobile ID on mobileid.ch and follow the instructions on your hardware and make a note of your mobile ID PIN (six digits).
  • You may set up a new mobile ID PIN any time on mobileid.ch.

    Please note: If the Mobile ID PIN is reset, the connections with all providers you use must be reconfigured.

  • You can deactivate the option Mobile ID at any time on mobileid.ch .

Mobile Postpaid Option multicard

  • None
  • Additional SIM cards for the same mobile phone number: 

    This allows the following:

    • Calling and data usage on several mobile hardware devices, including PDAs and laptops with the same phone number.

    • Using an additional connection for your car phone or for in-vehicle mobile network hardware (including satellite navigation, entertainment systems, automatic emergency call system).

  • Usage of calling and data services is billed to the same underlying mobile subscription. The terms of the corresponding mobile subscription apply.
  • The option can be cancelled with a cancellation period of 30 days prior to the end of each month. Individual multicards can be cancelled.

Sunrise Protect

  • Sunrise We Mobile, Fresh Mobile and other older subscriptions. (not for prepaid).
  • Option purchase date
  • Purchase date for the option if insurance is purchased at the same time as the insured hardware.

    If insurance coverage does not start at the same time the insured hardware is purchased, there is no entitlement to benefits during a grace period of 14 days from the start of insurance coverage.

    When a number is ported, insurance coverage always starts with activation/completion of porting.

  • 1 months. The duration is determined based on the number of calendar days in the month of activation. 
  • Once the minimum duration of 1 month has expired, the option can be terminated at any time by the end of the next calendar month.

    The option will end automatically when the Sunrise mobile phone contract associated with the insurance option is cancelled.

  • New hardware or hardware that has been purchased within the past 12 months in Switzerland and has passed a like-new condition inspection is eligible to be insured. The hardware with the IMEI no. recorded in the insurance document is insured.

    Important: Separate insurance must be taken out for each device.        

  • The person who is the rightful user of the insured hardware is eligible for benefits. If ownership of the insured hardware is transferred to a different person, the insurance contract is not transferred to the new owner. 
  • Report any damages directly to the insurer online at www.chubbprotect.ch/claimreport   or at the number: +41 58 400 79 97 
  • All damages caused by sudden or unpredicted external influences (shock, impact, crushing, fire, heat, water, moisture) and that make it so that the hardware can no longer be used as intended are insured.
  • Damages that occur under the following conditions are not insured: By: Natural wear and tear, oxidation/battery (drainage, incorrect usage, etc.)/failure to comply with manufacturer's operating instructions/use of accessories that are not original to the hardware and not made by the manufacturer (e.g. network cables)/modification of the original characteristics of the insured mobile phone/negligent or deliberate mishandling of the hardware by the person eligible for benefits/repairs, maintenance, and restoration or cleaning work/leaving it unattended, misplacement, or loss/confiscation by government agencies, regardless of whether the mobile phone was confiscated as the result of illegal activity or not/viruses/committing crimes, neglect, or misuse perpetrated or attempted by the person eligible for benefits in accordance with the general terms and conditions of the provider/damages caused by war, unrest, natural catastrophes/incidents with biological or chemical substances, shock waves, and sonic waves, 
  • The following damages are not insured: Material or manufacturing defects/technical disruptions if covered by warrantee or cannot be attributed to external influences/scratch, impact, and abrasion damages/deformations that do not impair functionality/discoloration/data damages, data loss/damages causing a reduction in value and pure financial losses, loss of use, data loss, shipping and transport costs (return, repair, etc.)/software damages/defective batteries/indirect damages caused by an insured event (financial losses, loss of use, income loss, expenditures, etc.)
  • Insurance protection for hardware losses provided under the Sunrise smart protect product is valid for a maximum of three years, including the warrantee granted by the hardware manufacturer or Sunrise, meaning a maximum of three years after the guarantee provided by the manufacturer begins.
  • Chubb Insurance (Switzerland) AG

    Insured customers are directly entitled to the provision of insurance services by Chubb.

  • Insurance cover shall be applicable for mobile phones and tablets, which are purchased from Sunrise or a third party in Switzerland or Liechtenstein and are registered within 12 months from new purchase with reservation of verification in a Sunrise center of the mobile phone or tablet in mint condition. For used devices or those purchased from a third party, the insurance premium is CHF 16.00, regardless of the value of the device.

Sunrise smartphone Upgrade

  • The Smartphone Upgrade option cannot be activated until you have signed up for a new device plan or have purchased the latest iPhone model. The option cannot be activated at a later date.

    A device plan may only be purchased together with a new or current Sunrise We Mobile or Fresh Mobile subscription.

  • The option is valid until the next iPhone generation reaches the market or until the device plan term is concluded. When signing up for a new device plan, the option must be reactivated.
  • The Smartphone Upgrade option is free.
  • Sunrise reserves the right to unilaterally cancel the Smartphone Upgrade option at any time in exchange for reimbursement of option fees paid up to that date. After cancellation of the option, a trade-in is no longer possible.
  • Trade-in devices may not be damaged and, if necessary, must be repaired by an Apple-authorized shop before the trade-in. To avoid unwelcome costs due to damage, we recommend our Sunrise Smart Protection insurance. It covers damage caused by sudden or unexpected external factors (shock, impact, pressure, fire, heat, water, moisture) that result in the device no longer operating as intended. The current general insurance terms and conditions of the insurer apply.

travel day pass Option

  • If the option is installed, the usage charge will be billed at the time of the first billable use abroad (Region 1). The included services can then be utilized up to midnight of the same calendar day.

    For example: The travel day pass option is installed. The first use abroad is at 9 a.m.; the option is activated and the included services can be used until 11:59 p.m. (CET). If the option is uninstalled, then calls, SMS and mobile Internet abroad will be billed at the standard roaming rate.

    The usage charge is only billed if the roaming services (incoming or outgoing calls, SMS or data connection abroad) are not already free due to the mobile subscription or a previously subscribed roaming option (for more information, see "Order of precedence").

    Please note: Calendar days are always based on the Swiss time zone (CET).

  • If several roaming calling/SMS volume credits are available during a stay abroad, they will be used up in the following order:

    1. Volume from an activated travel days option

    2. Volume from the mobile subscription

    3. Volume from another activated recurring roaming option

    4. Volume from travel day pass

  • Information about current data consumption is provided as follows:

    *SMS message once the included data volume has been used up

    The data consumption can also be viewed at cockpit.sunrise.ch

  • If the included data volume of 100 MB per calendar day has been used up and no other roaming data credit is available, data connections are blocked until midnight.

    To continue surfing:

    *Add data volume with a travel data option

    *Deactivate the travel day pass and continue surfing at the standard roaming rate.

    The data consumption can be viewed at cockpit.sunrise.ch; an information SMS is sent when the credit is used up.

  • Unused data credit at the end of a calendar day is not carried forward.

How does the travel day pass work?

  • If the option is installed, then it will be automatically activated the first time calling services (incoming or outgoing call, SMS or MMS) or mobile Internet are used abroad, and the usage charge will be billed at the same time.

    For example: The travel day pass option is installed. The first use abroad is at 9 a.m.; the option is activated and the included services can be used until 11:59 p.m. (CET). If the option is uninstalled, then calls, SMS and mobile Internet abroad will be billed at the standard roaming rate.

    The included services can then be utilized up to midnight of the same calendar day. The usage charge is only billed if the roaming services (incoming or outgoing calls, SMS or data connection abroad) are not already free based on the mobile subscription or a previously subscribed roaming option.

  • If the included data volume of 100 MB per calendar day has been used up and no other roaming data credit is available, data connections are blocked until midnight.

    To continue surfing:

    • Add data volume with a travel data option
    • Deactivate the travel day pass and continue surfing at the standard roaming rate

  • The option protects your mobile against phishing, viruses, ransomware, hacking and botnets when browsing the internet over a Sunrise or roaming mobile network.
  • Sunrise We Mobile, Sunrise Fresh Mobile, Sunrise Mobile Internet, Prepaid unlimited and older mobile subscriptions.
  • Directly after order.
  • No minimum duration.
  • At the end of each month, the option is automatically renewed at midnight (CET).
  • The option can be cancelled at the end of each month.
  • The fee for the option is invoiced at activation. The option fee is automatically invoiced on a monthly basis until the option is cancelled. If canceled during a billing period, the basic charge for the entire month will apply.
  • To use the surf protect option, the «iCloud Private Relay» function must be deactivated. You can find more information here.

surf protect home

  • The option protects devices against phishing, viruses, ransomware, hacking and botnets when browsing the internet or accessing URLs over your Sunrise router.
  • Sunrise Home Unlimited (Sunrise One) and all Sunrise Home internet subscriptions.
  • Directly after order.
  • No minimum duration.
  • At the end of each month, the option is automatically renewed at midnight (CET).
  • The option can be cancelled at the end of each month.
  • The fee for the option is invoiced at activation. The option fee is automatically invoiced on a monthly basis until the option is cancelled. If canceled during a billing period, the basic charge for the entire month will apply.

surf protect family

  • The option protects devices against phishing, viruses, ransomware, hacking and botnets when browsing the internet or accessing URLs over your Sunrise router. Moreover, mobiles with the option activated are protected against the same threats when browsing the internet over a Sunrise or roaming network.
  • All current and older Sunrise mobile and subscriptions and prepaid, and all current Internet subscriptions, including MTV mobile and MTV Home.
  • Directly after order.
  • No minimum duration.
  • At the end of each month, the option is automatically renewed at midnight (CET).
  • The option can be cancelled at the end of each month.
  • The fee for the option is invoiced at activation. The option fee is automatically invoiced on a monthly basis until the option is cancelled. If canceled during a billing period, the basic charge for the entire month will apply.

Kaspersky Safe Kids

  • Kaspersky Safe Kids lets kids enjoy the digital world free of digital dangers. This software helps you keep an eye on their online and device usage times and to prevent them from using unsuitable websites and apps. iOS manages app access by using general age specifications. Android gives you the We Mobile  to choose which apps should be accessible and lets you block devices after a pre-defined maximum usage time. Android lets you stay informed about whom kids talk to and text with on their Android devices. With iOS and Android, you can track your children’s location and receive a push message if they leave pre-defined safety zones. One Kaspersky Safe Kids license protects an unlimited number of devices.
  • The contract owner purchasing the option needs to have a Sunrise / SoHo We Mobile, Fresh Mobile or another older subscription. Devices managed through Kaspersky Safe Kids are not subject to any restrictions.
  • Upon purchase, a Kaspersky Safe Kids activation code is sent to the contract owner by SMS. Activation is possible right away in My Kaspersky (my.kaspersky.com) and requires registration.
  • No minimum duration.
  • At the end of each month, the option is automatically renewed at midnight (CET).
  • The option can be cancelled at the end of each month.
  • The fee for the option is invoiced at activation. The option fee is automatically invoiced on a monthly basis until the option is cancelled. If canceled during a billing period, the basic charge for the entire month will apply.

Premium Support

  • With the Sunrise Premium Support option, you will always be assisted by our most experienced agents.
  • Sunrise One, Sunrise Home, Sunrise We Mobile , Sunrise Mobile, Internet and older subscriptions.

  • After the minimum duration of three months, the option is automatically renewed at midnight (CET).
  • After three months, the option can be cancelled at the end of each month.
  • The option is billed at the time of activation. The option fee will be billed monthly until it is cancelled. If you cancel during a billing period, the basic charge for the entire month will apply.

Unlimited 5 Borders

  • Sunrise We Mobile, Mobile Internet, and other older mobile subscriptions.

    Not available for prepaid rates

  • The option can be activated on the date of your choice within 3 months of registration. The option is automatically activated the first time you start using roaming data.
  • The option can be activated on the date of your choice within 3 months of registration. The option will be automatically activated when you start using roaming data for the first time

  • Starting from the time of activation, the duration is one month and ends one month later at midnight.

More information

  • For all Sunrise prepaid rates.
  • Register by sending an SMS to 5522 with the text: TRAVEL TALK  or online in "My Sunrise".

    The option is activated immediately after registration if the credit balance is sufficient. If the credit balance is not sufficient at the time of registration, activation will be suspended until enough credit has been added to the account. Activation is confirmed by SMS.

  • The duration is at least one month.

    The duration is based on the number of calendar days in the month of activation.
    The option can be deactivated at any time.

    Activation, deactivation, and duration of use are always executed based on the Swiss time zone. Pay attention to time differences.

  • At the end of each month at midnight, the option will renew for another month as long as sufficient credit balance is available.

    If, at the time of option renewal, the balance is not sufficient, the option will be put on hold for one month. If the account is topped up within this time period, the option will be automatically reactivated. Otherwise the option will be permanently deleted and will have to be activated again if needed.

  • Send a free SMS with the text: TRAVEL TALK STOP to 5522 or cancel the option in My Sunrise.
    The services included in this option can be used until midnight (CET) of the last day of the contract duration.
  • The fee for the option is invoiced upon activation. The option fee is automatically deducted from the credit balance until further notice.

    Every partially used minute will be charged as a full minute.

Halbtax new

  • Sunrise Fresh Mobile subscriptions.

    Only for customers who bought the Half-Fare for the first time or already had a Half-Fare subscription and have not extended.

  • 12 months

    The option automatically expires after 12 months and is not renewed. The option can be cancelled at any time during the duration period free of charge with corresponding cost consequences for the half-fare subscription (see below).

  • With this option, the half-fare subscription is paid off in 12 monthly installments through your Sunrise bill. No down payment necessary. The installments are charged on your monthly subscription bill.

    This way the purchase price of the half-fare subscription is only 50% of the normal price. The financing is free of interest and fees.

  • Customer is between 25 and 29 years old.

    An existing Sunrise Fresh Mobile subscription must be active for the entire option duration of 12 months. If the option is cancelled prematurely, the remaining value of the half-fare subscription must be paid out at full price. See below for more information.

    Only for customers who bought the Half-Fare for the first time or already had a Half-Fare subscription and have not extended.

  • Customers who already have a new half-fare option will be reimbursed by SBB for the remaining value of their half-fare subscription. After that, they will receive a new subscription at a 50% discount. 
  • After registering with Sunrise, a voucher will be sent to you by post. The half-fare subscription can be purchased at any SBB service desk with the voucher you receive from Sunrise. 
  • The 50% discount on the half-fare subscription is invalid by early cancellation of the option or cancellation of the Sunrise Fresh Mobile subscription. In this case, the customer must immediately pay the total value of the remaining normal price of the half-fare subscription until the end of the option's duration (double the monthly payment per month).

    For example:
    The monthly installments for the half-fare subscription without a discount amount to 2 x CHF 7.80 = CHF 15.80. If the half-fare option is cancelled after seven months, this results in a remaining amount of 5 x CHF 15.80 = total of CHF 79.—.

  • When you reach 29 years of age, the option is automatically cancelled and the payment for the remaining amount is due, even if the customer is transferred to another mobile subscription.
