Yes, you can keep your phone number. To do so, please select the “existing phone number” option in the order process. You have to sign an authorization for number porting so that we can arrange for this. You can sign this authorization easily and conveniently online in the Sunrise ID-Checker app after you’ve completed your online order.

If you want a new phone number, you can select this option in the order process along with your desired activation date.

In the order process, you can opt for keeping your current phone number. We’ll arrange for number porting after the order process has been completed and you’ve signed the order as well as the authorization for number porting. After this, we’ll let you know the exact activation date on which your current phone number will be activated with Sunrise. If your cancellation is a timely cancellation, you have to request number porting from your current provider at least 60 and at most 120 days prior to the end of your current contract. If you’re canceling outside your notice period, your porting process will take at least ten days.

The minimum contract duration and the notice period are listed in the contract that you have with your previous provider. In addition to this, you can view the cancellation dates in an online portal with some providers.

If you cancel within your notice period, there are no extra costs. If, however, you cancel prior to your minimum contract duration, you may be charged switching costs. These costs usually arise from outstanding subscription charges and/or payments for devices.

Yes, you’ll be informed by us of the exact activation date of your Sunrise phone number. In addition to this, you’ll be reminded of the switch or the activation date multiple times on the day before. You’ll receive your SIM card in the mail ahead of time. You can then insert this into your mobile phone and immediately use the Sunrise offer.

For switches with a new phone number, your landline network and Internet connection will be activated during a time window from 8:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m.
