Change a SIM card from the mobile subscription
Summary
The «Change SIM type» feature allows the transition from one SIM card format to another, such as switching from a physical SIM card to an eSIM card.

From the subscription page, in the section «SIM cards», click on the action menu (three dots next to the SIM card), choosing the option «Change SIM type».
Changing a SIM card into an eSIM
To switch from a SIM card to an eSIM, please follow the following steps:
The business email address where an email with the QR shall be sent will be pre-populated according to your user profile information. You can overwrite it and use another email address if desired*.
*Note: Only business emails domains pre-configured for your company are accepted. If an error related to «domain not configured» occurs, please contact the Sunrise business support team at backoffice_bc@sunrise.net .
After clicking on the «Send QR code» button, a success message will be displayed, and an email shall be sent to the provided address with the QR code within the next minutes (see below an example).
Activation of the eSIM: On your device, go to the settings menu and find the eSIM or cellular settings. Look for the option to add or activate an eSIM. Follow the promps and scan the eSIM QR code from the received email.
Retrieving the eSIM card
If you already possess an eSIM and you need a new QR code, you can also request it to be sent also by email using the option from the initial action menu in the SIM card widget.
*Note: To request a download of the QR code you must delete the eSIM profile from your mobile device.
In order to re-download the QR code, you must delete the old eSIM profile and have internet connection while deleting the profile.
*Note: In case you deleted the eSIM profile without internet connection, the download of the QR code from SBC is not possible anymore. Please contact your fleet manager to change SIM for you.
